When I’m not behind the camera, I’m at home with my husband and our three kids—two energetic boys and a sweet girl. Family is everything to me, and I believe the moments we share together are truly priceless.
I met my husband at Liberty University, and after 16 years of marriage, we’ve experienced a lot of life together. Since 2008, we've called the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia home, but last June we made the exciting (and slightly nerve-wracking!) move to east central Ohio. Now, I’m excited to see what our new home has in store for us as we explore and settle into our new community.
When I’m not photographing families, I can usually be found with a cup of tea in hand—I drink it every day! I’m a big fan of podcasts and audiobooks, and I’m always on the lookout for something new to learn. Our family also homeschools, which means we’re often together, learning and growing in ways that keep me both grounded and inspired.
Through photography, I’ve found a way to capture the beauty in everyday moments—moments I’m passionate about cherishing in my own life. I know how fast time flies, and I love helping families hold onto those special memories that make life so precious. If you choose to work with me, I’ll pour that same care and attention into documenting your family’s story, making sure it’s as unique and special as you are.
When it comes to photography I love bright, warm, colorful imagery!
On the other hand, when it comes to my closet, picking out an outfit is about ease and function these days!
Navy blue is my black and stripes are a staple!
I'm not tied to what's on trend. I love to have pieces hand down from family that have sentimental value. I like to build our home decor around them.
Honestly, I'm a bit of a homebody but if I do indulge - I'm all about the bubbles! Give me a champagne or a Prosecco any day!
I love me a French 75 or a Poinsettia!
I should have known that I was a photographer long before I become one!
In the 8th grade, I took my first camera (a plastic 10mm film point and shoot) on our class field trip! The prints that I took of my friends turned out adorable!
22 rolls of film of my 10 day trip to Europe in 2005 should have tipped me off! The pictures weren't that good but I did try to capture the beauty of the landscape.
I love to read and wanted to be a librarian when I was in middle school. In fact, working in our small town library was my first job. Now, I homeschool our children and curate a home library for our family - 2000 books and counting!
I'll explore just about any new place but I love to be close to the beach! The smell and sounds of the ocean are so soothing and centering!
Another favorite is New England - I love the quaint towns with early American architecture and the coastal vibes of where I grew up in southeastern Connecticut.
